– Type KT wire is insulated with extruded FEP (fluorinated ethylene
propylene). Used primarily in electronic equipment and applications where
prolonged exposure to high temperature is a requirement. Nominal wall thickness
of .006 inch.
MIL-W-22759/11 –
This wire is insulated with extruded PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). Designed
for aerospace applications where resistance to high-temperatures and high
reliability are required. These are also preferred where smoke emission,
overload stability and/or flammability may be a problem. Silver-plated copper
conductor, with ratings of 600 Volts and 200 Degree C.
MIL-W-22759/16 –
This wire is insulated with a standard wall of extruded ETFE (ethylene
tetrafluoroethylene). Designed for aerospace applications where lightweight,
tight tolerances and excellent mechanical toughness are required. This
insulation offers exceptional radiation and chemical resistance. Conductor is
tin-plated copper with ratings of 600 Volts and 150 Degrees C.
